UNC Rex Healthcare’s new 231,308 SF hospital includes a patient bed tower with labor and delivery rooms, a USP 800-compliant pharmacy, imaging labs, med-surg rooms, critical care beds, observation beds, an OR suite and procedure rooms as well as an emergency department and support and administrative spaces. RMF designed all mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems for the hospital and its 13,000 SF central energy plant.
